30 Days of PR, BONUS day 31

Day Bonus!31 - Favorite weapon

I would have done this earlier but I only found out about this bonus day today so.

A really annoying question because I can't even remember most weapons, going to go with Dom's morpher though, I mean it's a weapon but also a morpher, yet another reason Dom is awesome.

30 Days of PR, day 30

Day 30-Favorite finale

The end of time. Come on I haven't seen Countdown to destruction so what else is there to choose. I really shouldn't have to explain why this is awesome, I mean everyone should have seen this. But really it's just so well done, everything, the emotion, the action. I really can't be bothered going everything that's awesome because I'll just go through the whole episode.

Wow, 32 updates in 30 days, I expect I'm not going to be doing that many updates any time soon.

Power ranger samurai trailer

Okay so almost nobody's going to read this but hey I might as well post it.

So the trailer's up, and I would post it but if anyone does read this you've probably already seen it, if not I don't care.

So thoughts, well I like what we've got, it's not mind blowing, but for power rangers it's pretty good. The acting I'm not going to comment on, we got barely any lines and really the acting on power rangers is really very good. It was good to hear the original theme, even if it didn't fit well and has no chance to be in the season. People are complaing about "rangers together samurai forever" but really the original series had morphinomenal and compared to that "rangers together samurai forever" is a brillinant piece of writing.

Of course no matter the promo's we get I'm going to be watching every episode of samurai.

30 days of PR, day 29

Day 29-Favorite storyarc/episode

Dark Wish. The episode where the Mystic force villians make it so the mystic force rangers never existed and thus get to take over Briarwood. Now ignoring the fact that if no new team of rangers showed up one of the many old teams, especially the military run Lightspeed rescue, would have done something this is a good start to the episode. But what makes this awesome is the fact that the rangers do everything they can to get their powers back, which in this case involves traversing a desert and participating in one of the best unmorphed fights of the series. But they don't get their powers back, and so they have to go back to Briarwood, and what do they do now that they are powerless, they fight, yep despite there being no chance of them winning they still try and fight, and it is this that gets them their powers back. All of that is why I like this episode, but it's mainly the awesome fight scene.

30 Days of PR, day 28

Day 28-Favorite under a spell

Best Man For The Job. The one where Tommy and Kim are put under a spell to hate each other while trying to run for class president, or something. Anyway they spend the entire episode arguing and it's hilarious, they even manage to fight the putties because there arguing. One of the few MMPR eps I've seen, and I'm glad because it was really good. Though the fact that sniffing flowers cured them was a terrible end, I mean what the hell is that?

Monday, November 22, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 27

Day 27-Favorite Morpher

The mystic Force morphers, I mean they work as cell phones AND as magic wands, so they blend in and can DO MAGIC. I was thinking of the original morphers and how as belt buckles they probably blended in, until I remembered that they had the pictures of their animal on them, all though at least it's better than the ninja storm morphers, five of which were giant wrist devices.

Sunday, November 21, 2010

30 days of PR, day 26

Day 26-Favorite morph call/sequence

Going to go with the original for favourite morphing call, which makes the first time I've mentioned the original series, I wish I could consider it for favourite morphing sequence but really they didn't have a morphing sequence. As for favourite morphing sequence, I'm going to cheat I know it meansw the graphic that comes up when a ranger morphs but I'm going to go for the morph during forever red, why? The only reason you could possibly need to ask that is if you haven't seen it, I mean ten red rangers morphing at the same time, very little power rangers has done comes close to the awesomeness that exists in that scene.

Saturday, November 20, 2010

30 days of PR, day 25

25-Favorite Uniforms

Well this was difficult, I don't care for any of the uniforms, I mean I don't hate any of them, besides the Lightspeed suits, but I just don't care for any of them.

But I have to choose so I'm going to have to go with the SPD uniforms, mainly because they don't have skirts on the girls uniforms, and those skirts have always been unnecessary.

Friday, November 19, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 24

Day 24-Favorite Zord

The wolf pride megazord, really the only two zords that don't make me want to change the channel when they appear are the jungle pride and wolf pride megazord, and RJ is more awesome than Casey, Theo, and lily combined so I've got to give it to him.

Thursday, November 18, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 23

Day 23-Favorite non-Earth location

Now this is difficult, none of the seasons I've seen actually have any scenes off earth, well SPD does but besides Grumm's ship I haven't seen any of them. So I'm going to go with the Astro megaship I mean it's a spaceship that can turn into a megazord, and it served as the space team's HQ, what else could you want.

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 22

Day 22-Favorite Earth Location

Jungle Karma pizza, because it's a pizzeria, and pizza is awesome.

30 Days of PR, day 21

Day 21-Favorite HQ

Jungle Karma Pizza. It has a training area, giant chutes for the rangers to use to get to the fight quickly, a surveillance system that covers the whole city, enough room for RJ to work on the teams weapons, and of course RJ's chair. Really it's got everything.

Sunday, November 14, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 20

Day 20-Favorite Teamup

Reinforcements from the future, because it's awesome. Do I really need to list the reasons, fine I'll od it anyway. Eric and Jen are back and Eric and Jen are badass, Jen's leather outfit, the interaction between Eric and Taylor, Ransik getting a resolution to his storyline, and the picninc scene at the end. It's difficult to top all of that.

If You Were a Ranger, What Would Your Soundtrack Be? [MEME]

Stolen from at least three people.

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing (excluding instrumentals)
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

Opening Credits: In The End - Linkin Park, Well not my first choice but not too bad, obviously this won't be a very happy show.

First Day in Angel Grove: Don't Tread On Me - Metallica, Looks like I'm going to start the series in a bad mood.

First Morph: Free Speech For The Dumb - Metallica, Pretty decent I guess the guitar riff would make pretty good morph music.

First Battle: Don't Phunk With My Heart - Black Eyed Peas, well this is just ridiculous, there is no way to make this make even the tiniest bit of sense, unless my first battle is with my
girlfriend.

School: You Keep Me Hanging On - Diana Argon, Why does my iPod insist on screwing with me during these memes, this has nothing to do with school, though maybe it could be about my girlfriend like last time.

Flirting That Will Never Go Anywhere: Don't Let Me Get Me - Pink, This makes even less sense than the last two, good god my iPod hates me.

Life's Ok: Dream On - Matt Morrison & Neil Patrick Harris, Okay this at least makes some sense, luckily life's only okay, I guess I've learned to just enjoy the moment.

Missed Opportunities: Heroe - Enrique Iglesias, okay firstly WHY THE HELL IS THIS ON MY IPOD? Seriously Lachlan why, I don't even think he's speaking english, though at least it sounds like it fits. I was right this is spanish, why I don't know.

Facing Fears: The More I see - Metallica, Well I guess it's easier to face your fears to an awesome soundtrack, I honestly don't know.

Turning Evil: Master Of Puppets - Metallica, I take back everything I said about my iPod, this is an awesome song and fits perfectly, I am totally an awesome evil ranger who plays the other rangers for my own goals, it is possible I'm also manipulating the bad guys.

Teamwork: The Jack - AC/DC, Okay AC/DC is awesome but couldn't it have been one of the harder rock songs, this is probably the only AC/DC song that wouldn't make for awesome music in the background.

Team Up: Fly On The Wall - AC/DC, Well the lyrics may not make sense given the context but at least it makes for awesome Background music.

Final Battle: Live and Learn - Crush 40, Well this is not only an awesome song it seems that I've learnt something and am using it during the final battle.

End Credits: St. Anger - Metallica, I knew there was a reason I was going to do this before my brother put the entire discography of Metallica on my iPod, well there's a lot worse choices, and it kind of, sort of, not really fits with the tone given by the opening credits.

Bonus Tracks:
Returning Episode: Overdose - AC/DC, This it looks in my returning episode I fall for someone, presumably one of the new female rangers, or maybe the Big Bad's a woman and puts me under a spell, in fact let's just go with that one.

Power Loss: Born In The U.S.A. - Bruce Springsteen, what the hell does an anti war song have to with power loss? I mean I'm sure I could maybe I've done things I wasn't proud of when I had my powers and now I'm realising my mistakes.

Well that was a miked bag, some were awesome choices some made no sense and some gave me ideas for fics. Though I doubt the fic is going to get written I would totally read about a ranger who was manipulating the rangers and bad guys the whole time who is beaten by the rangers and finally realises that he wasn't acting for the good of the world but was causing evil. Also just for fun I checked the next song on my iPod, Barbie is a bitch, thank god the meme ended when it did.

30 days of PR, day 19

Day 19-Favorite friendship

Ziggy and Dillon, these two were easily my favourite members of the RPM team, and their interactions were mainly why. Ziggy's the zany comic relief, Dillon's the sarcastic brooding bad boy. Together they're best friends. Really there's not any more to it than that.

Friday, November 12, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 18

Day 18-Favorite Couple (Fanon)

Well this is the most difficult day, I have a grand total of three ships, only one of which comes from Power rangers, so this was very difficult. That being said I went with Chip/Vida. Purely based on their interactions when Vida's a vampire.

Thursday, November 11, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 17

Day 17-Favorite Couple (canon)

Dr. K and Ziggy. Ok so they never officially started going out but there's is no way you can convince me they didn't eventually. I loved their interactions, at the start K hated Ziggy and Ziggy just wanted to prove himself and eventually K's feelings changed, even if she probably didn't realise what her new feelings were. Plus their interactions were always hilarious.

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 16

Day 16-Favorite Supporting character

Fran, because she's Fran. Okay seriously I like her for the same reason I like Clare, she starts off as a bumbling comic relief but eventually grows to be much more than that, hell she even finds out the rangers secret and acts as their mission control. Plus she can run JKP by herself whil the rangers run out, because she's awesome.

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 15

Day 15-Favorite Support Staff

Clare, sure she starts off as just a bumbling comic relief, but she grows over the series into an competent sorceress. Plus her time as the gatekeeper was awesome. On an unrelated note every time Clare gets angry her actress seems to be channeling the Supreme Mother from the Tribe, who the actress played, and it's really damn creepy.

Monday, November 8, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 14

Day 14-Favorite Mentor

There is only one possible answer to this question, RJ, as I've said the guy is just plain awesome. But he's also a really good teacher, something most mentors fail to be. He knows when to give advice and when to let someone work it out themselves. Plus he creates the teams weaponry as well as runs his own business, the guy is awesome.

30 Days of PR, day 13

Day 13-Favorite Monster of the Week

his was difficult, mainly because I don't care for MoTW's at all. But I eventually remembered one who actually stood out, the final Mystic Force MoTW, Motumbo, I have no idea if I'm spelling that right, *warning major spoilers* I mean the guy didn't even really want to fight, he was a good guy, and then the master posseses him, that's just not cool, luckily though he ends up as a DJ so all is right.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 12

Day 12-Favorite villain sidekick

I originally thought my answer for this was obvious, Tenaya 7, then I thought about it and realised I liked a lot of the villian sidekicks, Frax's whole storyline was interesting. Necrolai is another one, I mean she was the only villian in Mystic Force to survive the whole season, not including Leelee who barely qualifies as an annoyance. Camille was another interesting sidekick, she was interesting and had a nice storyline. Hell I even liked Norg and Marah and Kapri, and, from what I've seen of them Jindrax and Toxica so as you can see I like a lot of the sidekicks.

But in the end I still had to go with Tenaya 7, now part of why I like her is her storyline near the end of the season which I will not spoil for those who haven't seen it *cough*Ned*cough* however it's more than that, it's the fact she beat up the rangers, it's the fact she has a hand that can de-attach and act as surveillance, but mostly it's her snark. That's really the deciding factor here, Tenaya spends almost all her time snarking, at the rangers, at Venjix, and at the other sidecicks, and the best part is her lines are always funny.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 11

Day 11-Favorite villain henchmen

This is hard because I really don't care at all for any of the henchman in Power Rangers, though the Rin-Shi annoy me. In the end though I had to go with Krybots, because they are the only henchman to have a heirachy, and because the orange heads are quite strong, at least when ther first introduced.

Thursday, November 4, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 10

Day 10-Favorite redeemed villain

Do I even need to say it. Well I guess I should for those who haven't seen Time Force, it's Ransik.

30 days of PR, day 9

Day 9-Favorite Villain

Ransik, why? Because he's just plain awesome that's why. This guy beats the crap out of the core five rangers incredibly easily, he pulls swords out of his body, he can be serious when talking about his past yet can also be a gigantic ham when he wants to be, and he honestly cares for his family. There is not a single thing about Ransik I don't find awesome.

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 8

Day 8-Favorite formerly evil Ranger

Blake and Hunter from Ninja storm, this is less because I really like these two and more because I haven't seen any other seasons with evil rangers so these guys win by default.

30 Days of PR, day 7

Day 7-Favorite Color Ranger

Green, no contest with Ziggy, Cam, Bridge and Xander the greens are easily my favourite.

As for my favourite ranger of each colour.

Well RPM for all the colours they have with Jen as favourite pink and Dominic as favourite white.

Monday, November 1, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 6

6-Favorite sixth Ranger

4. Dominic technically the fifth Jungle Fury ranger but I'm going by the trope rather than number ranger. So Dom isn't the most developed ranger, though he at least has a basic personality which is more than a lot of rangers. What we do know though is that he doesn't take much seriously, he's always having fun, and really it's good to see that in a ranger. Really that's it he's just a really fun guy. Also yes that really is his morpher.

3. Cam the snarky tech support of the Ninja storm team for most of the first half of Ninja Storm. But then the ninja rangers fight an enemy that's too powerful for them, so Cam has too travel back in time and get an amulet from his mother allowing him to transform into only te second green sixth ranger. The main charm of Cam is his snarky attitude, but he's also a really hard worker, even finding away to stay as tech support once he becomes a ranger.

2. Robert 'RJ' James. One of the greatest rangers ever, and the only purple ranger which only adds to his coolness. He's also able to solo not only MOTW but before even becoming a ranger he beats the crap out of the Big Bad, suck on that Tommy. But that's not even close to the main reason I love RJ, he's a great mentor, but I'll get into that later, and he's stoned off his ass for pretty much the whole season. Really he's just plain awesome.

1. Eric, what needs to be said about Eric, the guy spends pretty much the whole season being a dick to the rangers, yet working with them when it suits him. He's a lone wolf and he likes it that way, yet there's a softer side to him, as shown in his interactions with Alice, plus he's snarky. Not to mention he's a total badass, there's a small list of rangers who've taken down a monster without a zord and Eric's on it.

Sunday, October 31, 2010

30 Days of PR, day 5

Day 5-Favorite Female Ranger

4. Rose is the pink overdrive ranger, and a genius, probably one of the smartest rangers in the show's history. with the ability to turn invisible. She isn't ashamed of her intelligence, despite what the finale says. The fact she can kick ass as well makes her even better.

3. Vida is the pink Mystic force ranger, expect a lot of mystic force characters to show up in these lists. She's a DJ who's not afraid to get into a fight. She's also the only ranger to complain about their colour, yet she accepts it by the end of the series.

2. Tori is the Blue ninja storm ranger, the first female blue and the first female to be on a team, I'm not counting the aquitians. She's also one of the strongest members of her team, and the voice of reason of the ninja storm rangers. Easily able to hold her own against the other rangers, both Shane and Dustin admit she hits harder than either of them she's one of the best females, unfortunately she's beaten out by.

1. Jen the pink time force ranger, and the first female leader. She may be a bit abrasive but she always gets the job done and she does it well. One of the toughest rangers, let alone females, easily deserves the number one spot.

Friday, October 29, 2010

30 days of PR, day 4

Day 4-Favorite Male Ranger

Okay this is hard because there are a lot of awesome male rangers, so I'll do a top 4. Also I'm not including RPM rangers or sixth rangers because I've already talked about the RPM rangers a lot and I'll talk about the sixth rangers when we get to them in two days.

4. Xander is the second Australian ranger, the first being Kat, it is interesting that there are more alien rangers than non-American rangers. Xander is someone who I shouldn't like, he's cocky and a womaniser, but he's also incredibly lazy, always getting the others to work while he just lazes around and that's part of why I like him. The other part being that he's awesome, his first reaction to being confronted by the mooks of the season he simply tries to talk to them, that requires bravery, naturally it never works but it's never not funny.

3. Dustin, the first yellow male Power Ranger. But more than that he's a comic book geek, which gains him a lot of bonus points, he's also an airhead who's smarter than he let's on. The fact he's funny is just the icing on the cake.

2. Chip The second yellow male ranger, he's also a comic book geek, but what puts him above Dustin is he's a huge fan of the supernatural which comes in handy when your team deals with the supernatural once a week. He's also a hugely loyal friend, as shown when he sticks by Vida when she's turned into a vampire, and loyalty is a very good trait.

1. Bridge, really this guy is one of the greatest rangers of all time, annoyingly it's difficult to describe why to someone who hasn't seen SPD. Basically he's psychic, well kind of, he can detect auras and read minds when he wants to. This power however has made him slightly crazy, he's less insane and more quirky but he's not all there. For instance he can't say the word buttery without wiggling his fingers and he thinks best when he's doing a handstand. He also has a tendency to ramble a lot, of course these ramblings are usually hilarious. Basically it's this that makes him one of my favourites rangers because despite all this he's intelligent and really great at breaking down criminals, all he does is talk a lot and they crack.

Thursday, October 28, 2010

30 days of PR, day 3

Day 3-Favorite Team

RPM, what you were expecting something different?

Well this team is easily my favourite, everyone of the main five rangers is on my list of favourites and Gem and Gemma are just fun.

First is Scott, who in my opinion is the best red ranger of the series. He's ex-military and has problems with his dad not treating him with the respect he deserves. Oh and his brother died before the season which really didn't help with his daddy issues. But none of that is why he's awesome, I like him because he's able to know when to disobey orders and go out and help and when doing so would just lead to more danger. He actually thinks things through, though he has a tendency to rush off into battle, he is a power ranger after all.

Ziggy, well Ziggy would probably be my favourite ranger. The guy's hilarious, and really just wants to help people. He even develops over the course of the series, from a guy who shys away from fights to a guy who can stand up for himself and kick ass with the rest of them.

Flynn, like Ziggy he's hilarious and like Ziggy he really wants to do what's right, both have a very strong sense of what's right. He is however different to Ziggy, for instance Flynn is a very competent fighter, and also very intelligent, in most teams he'd be the Tech support.

Dillon is a badass, he's one of the strongest rangers in the series, he sarcastic, and he's best friend swith Ziggy. Really that's enough for me to love the guy. But there's more, he has a past so mysterious even he doesn't remember it, besides the fact he has a sister, and he's slowly being turned into an enemy thanks to the electronics venjix put in him.

And rounding out the main five is Summer, a badass biker who can hold her own against the guys. she's easily the least developed of the group but really I'm okay with that because she's awesome and personally the other's interest me more than her.

The sixth and sevent rangers are Gem and Gemma, they start off as completely awesome people who finish each other's sentences have the social skills of a five year old and an intelligence to match Dr.K's. They do however start developing into their own characters as the series progresses, though the series ends before they can fully develop seeing as it will take years of therapy to recover from being kidnapped as a child then spending years having to defend yourself from attacks by monsters. Also they get the best kill of the series, they use explosives to blow up a MOTW, no really they don't even morph, they just plant the charges and blow it up, and this is the same robot that gave Scott and Flynn trouble when they were morphed.

So yeah the entire team is awesome, and they all work really well as a team, and that's why they are my favourite.

30 Days of PR, day 2

Well it may be five minutes to midnight but that's still two days in a row so far.

Day 2-Favorite season

RPM, really if you've seen it I shouldn't need to explain why it's awesome if you haven't, well then why not? But seriously this series has everything, humour, drama, a plot that can actually suprise you, and probably the best cast of actors ever on a power rangers show.

Every single ranger is awesome, from the leader with daddy issues, to the scottish mechanic, to the badass biker chick, to the badass loner, to the hilarious comic relief, to the boom time twins. Their mentor is a teen genuis who, has serious issues thanks to her childhood and rounding out the cast of good guys is Mason Fuckin' Truman.

The villians are, well they're your standard Big bad and generals, well besides Tenaya who is part android part human and all snark.

That's not to say that it's perfect, but it's as close as Power Rangers can ever hope to be and really would have been a perfect ending to the series. The worst part is a behind the scenes special, done with everyone in character, though as that was needed due to budget problems I can't be too annoyed at it.

30 days of PR, day 1

Let's see if I can manage a post a day for 30 day.

So this is something I found on the internet and decided to use because I'm bored.

Day 1-How did you get into PR?

Well I joined the power ranger bandwagon pretty late, about three or four years ago actually. See I'd been taping repeats of season 1 of Lost that were airing at midnight and one day I decide to watch what's on next, and the theme tune to Time Force, which kicks ass by the way, was on. For some reason I decided to watch it and to my surprise it was really good. I've been a fan ever since.

WWE Smackdown! Live part two

After an intermission we got a triple threat match for the intercontinental championship between Kofi Kingston, Drew Mcintyre and the current champion Dolph Ziggler. The three of them all cut promos before the match but nothing new or interesting is said. A very good match, which considering the competitors was to be expected, naturally it started with Drew and Dolph teaming up to beat on Kofi, who eventually took them both out with a double clothesline from the ring to the outside through the ropes which was made more awesome as he landed on his feet. Then it become your typical three way fare with Drew and Dolph taking it in turns between being out on the floor and fighting with Kofi, eventually Kofi get the upper hand and hits an amazing Boom drop on both competitors where they're lying next to each other and he jumps over both of them and spins around to hit both of them. Shortly after Kofi hits trouble in paradise on Drew before Dolph throws him out and gets the win and keeps his belt.

The next match was Jack Swagger vs Big Show and while it was funny when Big Show copied Swagger's tendency to do push ups in the ring it was an easy victory to Show and not much happened.

The penultimate match was Th hart dynasty vs Joey Mercury and Luke Gallows. The Hart dynasty started off well being able to take control of both competitors before Luke powered up and the SES took control. Naturally the hart dynasty eventually turned the tables and came a way with a win. This was a really good match, and probably the best of the match, though I still prefer the final because it involved Rey Mysterio.

WWE Smackdown! Live part one

Okay so I just got home from seeing a WWE Smackdown house show, and it was really good. I have a couple of problems but they don't detract from the good parts.

So the opening match was Matt Hardy Vs Christian, a very gtood choice, which explains why it was on most Smackdown shows last July. Once it got going about a minute and a half in it didn't really stop nor did any wrestler get an advantage for a significant amount of time, and naturally there was a lot of high flying. The ending came after Christian tried to reverse the Twist of fate into the killswitch only to be flipped over by Hardy, but Christian landed on his feet before his leg buckled and Matt turned around and delivered the Twist of fate for the three count. Really good opening match but nothing extraordinary,

The second match was a divas match, which confused me because I figured the bathroom match would be later in the night. Anyway for some reason Serena was tagging with Layla which is confusing for two reasons, one Serena hasn't wrestled at all, or at least since joining the Straight Edge Society (SES) and two Layla already has a tag team partner. Their opponents were Kelly Kelly, who would have trouble wrestling her way out of a paper bag and Natalya who is one of the few capable female wrestlers in WWE, a group which doesn't include any of the other females in this match. Naturally this means 90% of the match is Layla and Serena beating on Kelly, though they work in an angle about Layla bossing Serena around, eventually Kelly gets the tag to Natalya and Layla, smartly tries to tag in Serena, though Serena just walks away. Natalya then beats up Layla before tagging back in Kelly Kelly who finishes off Layla and gets the three count. Upon doing research it seems Serena actually can wrestle and has been for five years, well she didn't really do anything that made me see her being good but I'll reserve judgement for later.

The third match involved Alberto Del Rio, a guy who hasn't ever wrestled on WWE, because apparently the rest of the locker room didn't want to come over to Australia or something, against Chavo Guerrero. Chavo starts out strong but this just leads Alberto to walk out of the match, or at least he starts to but the crowd starts chanting "You are a wanker" and he gets back into the ring, only for Chavo to get on the microphone and inform him what the audience was saying, and then mouthing he doesn't know what it means after getting rid of the microphone. So Alberto takes control of Chavo for quite a while and the only interesting thing that happens is another chant of "You are a wanker" breaks out. Eventually Chavo makes a comeback and even hit the Three amigo's, he heads up top for the frog splash but Alberto gets his knees up and at that point it's academic as Alberto drags Chavo to the middle of the ring and locks in a submission move on Chavo's heavily injured arm which Chavo taps to in about two seconds, and Chavo's career takes another hit, which is annoying as he's actually been allowed to win a couple of matches lately.

Up next was 'dashing' Cody Rhodes Versing M.V.P. Even before the bell it was going well with M.V.P. taking a sign from the crowd reading 'Douchebag' Cody Rhodes and showing it to the crowd and Cody. Cody then tries to make a deal with M.V.P. if M.V.P. doesn't hit him in the face he won't hit M.V.P. in the face, he does this because apparently his teeth cost $20,000, which he comments is more than the woman with the sign will make in her life. M.V.P. responds by slapping Cody in the face, Cody then rolls out of the ring and walks off, but at the count of nine he gets back in the ring because apparently he didn't really want to lose. So the match happens, and I remember nothing about it besides that M.V.P wins so that should tell you how good it was.

As there was an interval at this point and it's currently 1:30 I'll wrap up here an give a recap of the last four matches tomorrow morning

Evil Dead 2

Well I saw Evil Dead 2 yesterday, best horror comedy I've ever seen, ignore the fact it's the only horror comedy. It doesn't start out that funny but it does pick up when Ash loses completely and has to cut off his own hand while saying Who's laughing now over and over again. At this ooint Ash becomes awesome, shooting things chopping them with the chainsaw and spouting corny one liners that actually are really funny. There are other caharacters but they are unimportant because Ash is awesome.

All in all I give it four out of five stars.

Kickassia part 6 review

Well it's been a while but I'm finally finishing this review. So part six is, obviously the conclusion to the Kickassia saga, and it is a damn good one involving some great action and comedy.

We start off with one of the funniest parts of the saga, Nostalgia Critic singing "Three little maids" he is interrupted by Angry Joe shooting at him, naturally he runs away right into Paw, Marzgurl, LordKat and Sage, who charge him, naturally he runs away, this time into JewWario, Phelous and Film Brain, this time there's no running. This is a really good opener but considering the buildup of the plan it wasn't really more than, attack Nostalgia Critic from all fronts which is a bit of a let down.

Nostalgia Critic is then confronted by everyone, including Cinema Snob and Spoony, who got better after being Insano. Just before everyone attacks him Ask That Guy appears, and hilariously just wants to make his cameo, so the Critic gets beat up. At this point the Nostalgia Chick comes out and states that she is now president, but Linkara and Cinema Snob have similar ideas. They don't get to fight it out though because the Critic threatens to blow everyone up, the Snob however says he's already gotten rid of the dynamite, the critic is saved from another beating when a gigantic cop-out appears, I mean Santa Christ. Now Santa christ getting everyone, besides the Critic, to see the error of their ways isn't too bad it is still very similar to how last year ended and just feels rushed, though to be fair it was rushed and it was supposed to go for longer.

The saga ends with Kevin Baugh getting his country back and the narrator listing a bunch of movie lines before being shot.

Now this isn't a bad episode but it does have it's problems, the two main ones I've mentioned but there's also that the Nostalgia Chick's plot really never went anywhere, though it was hlarious and frankly humour makes up plot in comedies. My overall thoughts will come at a later date when I've watched them all back to back.

Kickassia part 5 review

Okay so Dr Insano Vs The Nostalgia Critic, that's basically what this part boils down to, well that and the death of Santa Christ and as cameos of everyone who couldn't participate in the takeover.

Not really much to review here, the fight was awesome and hhilarious and i really can't say enough about, serriously they went all out with the fight, Film Brain and Nostalgia Chick's litlle parts were hilarious and awesome as well but neither could detract anything from the awesome that was insano versus Critic and there is not enough praise I can put onto this fight. So I won't say anything but go watch it and enjoy the massive hamminess and incredibly narmish special effects taht somehow make it even more awesome than it should be.

As for Santa Christ, well really it was filler to get in cameos of all the other contributors so there's nothing to really comment on, though the final joke was great.

Now the ending, where Linkara finally got to take charge and lead the army, after they thought they were playing Risk and an obligatory cameo from James Rolfe, while we don't get to hear his plan, or really see much of his military persona it is obvious that part 6 is going to be EPIC. And yes that deserves the all caps.

Kickassia part 4 review

So we finally get some plot from this episode, mainly revolving around how everyone but Film Brain is sick of how NC is treating everybody, well actually it's the fact he has dynamite ready to blow at a moments notice if he's threatened, which is announced in a brilliant scene mainly due to Cinema Snob's reactions to The Critic. Also we find out there is another sane member of the army, namely Cinema Snob, he joins Linakara and Phelous as the only sane members, though Nostalgia Chick is also very intelligent.

Speaking of the chick her Sarah Palin impression is brilliant, and her trying to kill the critic despite everything is hilarious. But enough about her let's talk about the main character of this part, Cinema Snob, now I haven't seen any of this guy's videos but I'm beginning to think I need to, this guy is one of the few people not being completely over the top in his acting, the other two being LordKat who hasn't done anything and Paw who seems to take everything in stride. But Cinema Snob is different he actually seem to be completely serious throughout it all, which turns his banishment from a potential tear jerker to crowning moment of funny.

Then there's Linkara who gets about five lines and yet manages to be hilarious, his reason for believing he can lead a charge against The Critic "I've seen Patton over a hundred times" remember, he's one of the sane ones. Oh once again I must mention Jew Wario, two lines in the whole thing and both were hilarious.

I shouldn't finish the review without talking about the ending, where Spoony is finally forced to change into Dr. Insano, thanks to Angry Joe being insane, or high, and thinking it's the only way to stop the critic, though as there's two parts left I'm sure it won't work. Well Spoony was obviously being over the top but it was awesome, and even slightly scary in how it was done, you actually got the feeling that it's a bad thing for this to be happening.

I alos should say that Film Brain's talk with the Nostalgia Critic was great, "I got a little carried with the second half but the first half is all true."

Kickassia part 3 review

Okay so I'm reviewing this after watching it a couple of hours ago, so I might forget some stuff. Now before I start the review allow me to say Nostalgia Chick was HOT! Now that I've got that, slightly disturbing, sentence out of the way lets begin the review.

SO once again we have a part where not much happens, not to worry because it's hilarious, and everyone's gets a shot at being hilarious, well except Handsome Tom but it's funny because he's being picked on. Marzgurl is an awesome drill sergeant, getting the men into action by punching them when they make mistakes, like being too tall. Angry Joe is brilliantly insane and Sage is one scary ass Doctor, though that's more because he's Sage than anything to do with being a doctor. It's really great in something like this that everyone gets a chance to shine, and everyone seems to be having such fun with everything.

The acting in this is so over the top it's awesome, Nostalgia Critic spends most of the episode being a deliberate Large Ham and he's only beaten by Spoony who is easily one of the best parts of the series "That... was in the past." There's also the non-over the top acting, it's not a lot but it's there, like Phelous' annoyance at The Critic, his facial expressions are hilarious but not because they're bad.

Oh and Jew Wario and Marzgurl are still two of my favourites for this whole thing, both have done very little so far but Jew Wario has had great comedic timing and Marzgurl has been brilliant both in her 'death scene' and as one of the worst drill sergeants ever.

Kickassia part 2 review

Okay so I just watched part 2 and I want to say it's awesome.

Most of the characters have gotten time to shine but naturally some have been scene-stealers, the most obvious being Spoony who looks to be having a great time hamming it up since he's doing even when he's just in the background. Linkara and Nostalgia Chick have also been great, Linkara's overreaction to Marzgurl's 'death' was absolutely brilliant, and Nostalgia Chick just seems to be incredibly bored by the whole thing, which is hilarious. That being said even those two have been overshadowed by the delightfully snarky Phelous, the sole voice of sanity in the group, and Angry Joe, who is completely insane.

That's not to say that the others don't have their moments, Marzgurl's reaction to Linkara's reaction is just as funny, Benzaie's goodbye to Bearie was actually pretty touching, well until he exploded and it became hilarious, and Jew Wario has done exactly four things and all of them have either been hilarious or awesome. Hell even Kevin Baugh got a CMoA during this part.

Now you might ask what I though of the plot, well there wasn't really much of one this time around, it was just the TGWTG team attacking Molassia. Some highlights include the Bum cameo, Kevin Baugh setting off his landmines with an iPod app, an almost literal insurmountable waist high fence and a completely over the top opening scene.

Now was it as good as the no, but the first had the advantage of going on for almost double the length that this one did. There ws one thing that confused me though, why was Nostalgia Chick drinking Fosters? Nobody drinks Fosters, it's like a joke beer, we give it to the tourists they spit it out then we give them the real beer.

Kickassia part 1 review

Okay so low internet be damn the awesome dragged me in and I decided to watch part one of Kickassia, I will not be able to watch the other parts until the 21st though. First let me say this is awesome, like one of the most awesome things I've ever seen, and while I say that about a lot of things this deserves it.

Okay first things first, the plot, well Nostalgia critic wants to take over a country and brings in various members of That guy with the glasses.com to help. That's really all there is right now.

The characters, now this is where it gets awesome, all characters are featured well, well most but I've read that all will get adequate screen time. Naturally some seem to steal the spotlight, Spoony and Linkara are the obvious two but Phelous is also great due to his genre savviness. One of the best parts is at the beginning when NC calls everyone and says "it's time" nobody knows what this means and most act confused, though Spoony tells him the time, then Linkara tells him the time and says that Spoony's is probably more accurate.

Now after calling everyone up they all gather in one hotel room and have a discussion about why there taking over Molassia, including a great part where Linkara's arguments are shot down by being called a nazi, seconds before NC compares them to nazis. They decide to attack the place.

Then the president of Molassia is seen talking to himself about the potential invasion. It's hilarious.

Cut to the group power walking into Molassia, followed shortly by charging at the president, who eventually pulls a gun and they all run scared, again it's hilarious. They get back dejected and almost leave, but Phelous suggests using weapons, which the Critic shoots down, they should use weapons. We then have what is easily THE single most awesome lock and load montage ever featuring all of the group, the best is probably Cinema Snob's, he takes off his glasses spins 360 degrees and then puts his glasses back on.

Oh and while this is going on there's some subplot with The Chick acting bored and Spoony possibly going back to being Insano.

If I were to sum up the first part I have but one word, awesome.

Kikcassia, AKA Awesome incarnate

On the That Guy With The Glasses website they recently released a trailer for the second year aniversary. From this trailer alone I can tell this will be the single most awesome thing to ever grace the internet. Now you may be asking why, well obviously you haven't seen it, it starts off with The Nostalgia Critic talking about a micronation, and how he wants to take it over. We then have a variety of scenes showing all of the characters, most of them being awesome and those that aren't, and even some that are, are hilarious.

Now why am I reviewing a trailer you may ask, well firstly it is that awesome and secondly to alert my reader that I will be reviewing each of the six parts after I've seen them, and a seventh one reviewing the series.

Oh and here's a link to the trailer. http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/video-updates/21528-two-year-anniversary-trailer-kickassia

Kickass: movie review

Okay so first off there will be spoilers, if this blog ever has any other readers than this message will mean something.

First things first the movie easily lives up to it's name. I called it the most awesome thing I have ever seen, and if the movie as a whole doesn't qualify the fight scene at the end with hitgirl taking on about seven thugs with guns, even those of her opponents, and knifes, to the tune of Bad Reputation, even when she reloads it's awesome, though too difficult for me explain here.

Now the plot, well you know most of it so I'll skip most of it but basically a nerdy guy begins wondering why nobodies ever been a superhero, and gets so obsessed with it he eventually becomes one. In one of his first fights he is saved by Hit Girl and Big Daddy who upstage him easily. The three team up to take on a crime boss Frank. Oh and there is much awesome mostly done by an eleven year old girl.

The characters, well first there is Kickass who is just a regular teenage nerd, well he has metal plating on most of his bones and most of his nerve endins are shot to hell but apart from that completely normal. Even at the end when he saves hitgirl twice, first with a jetpack with mounted miniguns then with a bazooka, he's still just a regular teen in terms of intelligence and strength.

I'll tell you who's not normal for their age though, Hit Girl, that's not a complaint though, it's perfectly normal as well given her backstory. She has been trained since she was five to be a martial arts expert and a pro with a gun, which is very handy when your a vigilante. She is also the best character in the movie, and most badass. My favourite scene involves her taking out seven or so thugs while running and jumping through a hallway using guns, and not limited to her own, and knifes to take them all out, the fact that it's all done to Bad Reputation just adds to the awesome.

Big Daddy is another awesome character, unfortunately he only gets one real fight but in that scene, and hell throughout the movie he is incredibly badass. He is basically Batman with guns, that should tell you what you need to know about his awesomeness levels. His story as to how he became a superhero is actually pretty sad as well which makes you feel for the guy, even when he's brutally murdering people.

All the other characters are good but none, nope not even Red Mist, stood out enough for them to warrant there own paragraph.

Now I do have one thing I don't love about this movie, the fact that it's Kickass who takes out Frank, not the girl who'd been trainging to do exactly that for six years and was out for revenge for not just her mother but her father. It seemed like the writers realised that Hit Girl was being too awesome and they needed Kickass to do something, they seemed to have forgotten about him coming in with the jetpack with mounted miniguns and knocing out Red Mist. This isn't a major complaint though, and the scene ended up being more awesome than it would have been if Hit Girl had killed him but it just annoyed me.

Doctor Who part 2

Well it's been a while but's here my second part review of Doctor Who, namely the Tenth Doctor's three seasons.

David Tennant is the first Doctor I ever really saw, I had seen bits and pieces of Seventh and knew I liked him but with Tennant I actually sat down and watched his episodes and he was awesome. He is very different to Nine, this is most prominent in that while Nine was mainly serious with the occasional humour Ten was the exact opposite, hilarious right up until it all got serious, and sometimes not even that. When he got serious though you better hope you were on the good side, or he'd make you pay.

Ten had three main companions, Rose, Martha and Donna. He did have a whole host of others though, and I'm pretty sure he holds the record for most companions, at least not including expanded universe. Now while I won't go into too much detail about the companions I'll give my thoughts on all three.

Firstly Rose, well she was a great companion, she had spunk, she was willing to sass the Doctor and there's not many companions who do that regularly, and she was an action girl. She was very obsessed with the Doctor, but at least he was interested in her. Now I know she is a very polarising character but I liked her because of the way she handled herself through everything with spunk and style.

Secondly Martha, now Martha I don't have a great opinion of, not that she's bad but a lot of her scenes involved how much she was in love with the Doctor which meant she didn't get a lot of characterisation. I do however like her, when she's not talking about the Doctor anyway. Her future appearances after leaving the Doctor probably helps this opinion as she becomes a lot more badass.

Last, but not least, is Donna easily my favourite of the three Donna came across as the most realistic. She had morals and would stick by them she had a mouth on her like you wouldn't believe, she was not going to take nothing from nobody, and she wasn't in love with the Doctor.

So onto the Doctor Ten is well liked in Doctor Who fandom, generally being voted the second best doctor behind Four. Why is this though. Well a lot of it comes down to, in my opinion any way, his sense of humour. He would always be making jokes and even the occasional pop culture reference. He didn't take many things seriously, even Daleks occasionally, when he took something seriously you knew stuff was going to go down, the ending to a certain two parter during his second season shows just why his enemies fear him.

But there is more to the doctor, something that is mainly hinted at but Ten has some deeper problems, it's revealed in the episode after Rose leaves that the hints start coming through but it's not until Waters of Mars that we see, it turns out this Doctor is just as dark as Nine, he just hides it better. In the episode he ends up on Mars on the exact date a research station blows up, and it's a fixed point in time so he can't do anything about it. He spends a lot of the episode talking about how he has to leave but while he is leaving something snaps, he realises that with the time lords gone the fixed points in time can be changed without consequences, and so he does. This is a great story arc for Ten, one that a decent amount of people wouldn't even pick up on, and it leads into one of the biggest finales of any season.

Well that's my review, even if it is terrible, hope you liked it Ned.

Doctor Who part 1

Doctor Who is the most awesome Sci-fi show in existence, any detractrors keep in mind this show started in the 60's and is currently airing new episodes.

Now The doctor is very difficult to describe due to his biology, he's a time lord and they have the ability to regenerate into a totally different person when they die, so far he's regenerated ten times and each is one is uynique and going into all of them would take too long. He travelled space and time in a police box - it's bigger on the inside - called a TARDIS along with various companions. Interesting fact about the companions despite the majority of people believing most companions were hot chicks who just screamed and got kidnapped there were multiple male companions, and some of the best were male, but a decent amount of the women were competent. As with the Doctor going into them here would be impossible, mainly because I haven't really seen over half. I'll go into more detail about the Doctor and the companions I've seen later.

Okay so why did I do this review well mainly to talk about the series, which I've actually seen. this season has technically shown three doctors, four if you count 'time crash' which I recommend by the way. Any way the two main doctors so far have been Nine, played by Christopher Eccleston and Ten, played by David Tennant.

Nine was a darker doctor than all the others, though by how much varies a lot, having, presumably, been created during a time war that resulted in him being much more willing to just blow up an enemy. He however was slowly changed into a nicer less kill happy person by his, again presumably, only companion Rose Tyler. Rose was a simple London girl with a boyfriend and a mum, until one day she ran into the doctor, who was blowing up the building she was in. She spent a year travelling with the doctor, and in that time he not only became a much calmer nicer person he also fell in love, depending on who you ask this is either great or one of the worst things in doctor who history, there are plenty worse though.

Now I admit I haven't seen all of Nine's run but from what I've seen he's a great doctor, if a bit too serious for my taste. He was truly the doctor in many ways, he spouted technobabble at a thousand words a minute, he was easily distracted, and he could turn deadly serious at the drop of a hat. However, like those before him he was also different, the time war had changed him, made him grow up almost and as such he was very serious when it came to dramatic situations, whereas most doctors before, and the one after, usually were humourous until it came right down to the wire.

That's all the time I have so tune in some time later for part 2 where I review David Tennant's doctor, and possibly the whole of the 'RTD era.'

The Tribe

Okay here's my first T.V. show review. Of a show I'm sure no one has heard of, and as no one is reading this blog that's a good thing.

Okay so incase nobody doesn't know what the tribe is it is a New Zealand show about a world without adults. The show deals with what kids would do in this situation, mainly cause chaos, in a believable way and the characters are very well thought out. The story follows the tribe, who become the mallrats early on in the first season, as they try and survive in a world where power is more important than anything else, or at least they do in the first season. Now as I've only seen the first season and a little bit of the second season this review will only encompass the first season, the other seasons will be done as I finish them. So without further ado my review about the tribe.

The tribe is show based on a simple premise, what would happen if all adults were to die. The simple answer, chaos and anarchy. The longer answer involves hope, for the world to rebuild itself. The first season doesn't show much of the rebuilding and is more focused on the titular tribe trying to work together. It shows a group of people, from different backgrounds and with very different personalities, trying to survive in the Crapsack World that a lack of adults has created.

One interesting part about this season is that not once do we get more than a passing mention about a characters backstory, and when I say a character I do mean only one. This helps show what the show is about, creating a new world. The main characters are all potrayed realistically and are very diverse. From the always schememing and manipulating Ebony, who happens to be the Big Bad for the season, to Amber, a girl who does the best she can to try and get the tribe to work together, to Lex the Jerkass who's only in it for himself, and his girlfriend/wife Zandra, to Tai-San the Granola Girl who's beliefs get under everyone's skin. Naturally these personalities clash and they don't really start working together until the final arc of the season. But that's the point they aren't a Nakama, not even close but still they stick up for each other when it matters.

There are only some minor problems I have with the series one of these is the pacing, for the first fourty episode there isn't really a plotline the story actually sticks with, there are multipe episode arcs but none of them are really plot relevant, there is also the threat of Ebony and her tribe but until the final arc that only realy serves as a reason for the mallrats not to go outside. The other problem is a nitpick but can still be infuriating, the hairstyles and facial marking, they start off fine, and in fact most stay that way, the annoying part is the hairstyles and facial markings will change at times when a character really shouldn't have been able to. One fine example is between episodes Jack, the resident smart guy manages to change his facial paintings while locked up in a cell overnight, a nitpick yes but one that can take you out of the story. So to summarise The tribe is about hope, the characters don't get along and hairstyles change at ridiculous times.

Sorry for the links to Tv tropes, this is my review from there copied onto here.

Bum reviews: Tripod vs the dragon.

Oh My God! This is the greatest concert I've ever been to in my life. There's these three guys who are going to play Dungeons & Dragons, and one of the guys wants to be a dog with a human body, I was a dog with a human body once, it hurt. So they go to the dungeon masters house and she's a girl, I know I couldn't believe it either, since when do girls play Dungeons & Dragons?

And so the three guys find a map in one guys lute case and they go to explore the part of the map that's not there, because that always works out well in the movies, wait. Then they fight an Orc, I used to fight Orcs all the time. And so this one guy, who is a singer meets this girl, who is also a singer and they fall in love. But it turns out the girl is the dragon, and she will have to kill the guy if he comes near her territory she'll have to kill him, I had a girlfriend who was a dragon once, it didn't end on good terms.

And so the three guys travel for a long time until one fall down a dungeon, and the other two just walk off. But not to worry because the guy meets some wise magicians who give him a spear of knowledge, I had a spear of knowledge once, but I don't know where I put it. And so the guy with the spear meets up with the other guys and they travel by boat to the unexplored part and when they get there they have to fight the dragon. And so the guy whos inlove with the dragon, but doesn't know it's her throws a spear at her and kills her, that's the same thing that happened to me.

And then the guy with the staff goes crazy with powerm and the guy who was in love with the dragon, and now knows she was the dragon, gets all depressed. But not to fear he can get her back by going to the underworld, I travelled to the underworld once, or it may just have been drugs. So he crosses a river of sticks gets past a two headed puppy and finds the love of his life. But she's a slave to the devil,. But he tries to win her back by playing a song to the devil, I played a song to get back my girlfriend once, unfortunately she was deaf. And anyways he fails to get the girl, but he can play again, and he does and he wins the girl, wouldn't it be great if you could redo life over again, I wouldn't be living on the streets. And so then they meet the Orc that they killed at the beginning, and it has an army, don't you just hate it when that happens. But it's time for everyone to go home, and that's the end.

I liked this concert it contained everything I need to enjoy myself, a warm room, a seat, and people who don't look at me in pity.

With apologies to Doug Walker.

Who decided we had to grow up?

So I turned 18 last November, now some of you might think this is a good thing but I am here to tell you it is not. First things first turning 18 means that you gain this thing called responsibility, apparently your supposed to do things for yourself, who decided that, maybe I like not having pressure put on me, did anyone think of that. This pressure is especially annoying when it's something like, call this person up, I take forever to get back to my friends so tell me why am I going to get back to some person I don't know about something that's not important?

There are other annoying things, like getting a job, I know a lot of people when they were in high school got part time jobs well my friends and I didn't. This has given me time to watch T.V. catch up on my videos and play video games. I feel like I must ask why does this need to change. Now I know money makes the world go round and all that jazz but I still get money from my parents for doing chores around the house, at a decent hourly rate as well. To add onto this I don't have a car, and with both my parents working this means I'd have to catch public transport, this would be a very bad idea. For those uninitiated this is because I am prone to moments of forgetfulness and wouldn't be surprised if I missed my bus stop and then proceeded to leave my phone and wallet on the bus.

So what I am saying is that if your still a kid treasure every moment you can, I did and I'm still complaining less that fourth months after the change.

Fanfiction

Well I figure my first post should be about something I really like, and considering I spend most of my spare time reading it I must really like fanfiction. Now for those of you not in the know fanfiction is stories that people, of various writing skills, write set in already created fictional words, like that of Harry Potter or Power rangers. Naturally the results vary wildly, from My Immortal, a story that is so immensely stupid it has been reported to make people dumber just by them reading it, to Nightmares of futures past, a brilliant time travel story involving a Harry who's lost it all going back in time to fix things. With that out of the way let's dig into fanfiction some more.

There is fanfiction for almost any show you can name, or at least for those people still remember. Of course there are exceptions and a lot of the collections are quite small but usually there will be at least a couple of fics. I'm lucky in that most of my fandoms contain a fair amount fanfictions, Harry Potter actually has the highest amount of stories on fanfiction.net, so I have a fair amount to choose from. Unfortunately this is where the main problem with fanfiction shines through. It can best be explained by Sturgeon's law, now sturgeon's law says that 90% of everything is crap. Why is fanfiction such great proof of this? Well simply with how easy it is to get a fanfiction on the Internet any guy and their dog, and some look like they were written by a dog, can put there story on the Internet. Let me tell you there is a reason there are so few so published authors out there, because some people have no talent. Don't get me wrong there are many diamonds in the rough but these are of a small number compared to those written by a thirteen year old on a sugar high whose closest idea of a plot is, these two get together and have sex.

Anyway I'm done ranting, for now, so lets move onto what makes this format great. Well one reason is it allows for aspiring authors to work on a story and not have to do a huge amount of world and character building and just focus on their writing style. It also allows for continuations of cancelled series which can be useful for fans disappointed in not having more seasons, books, etc. But my personal favourite reason is that it allows stories to take place that couldn't normally be done. To explain this I'll use an example. The Power rangers fanfic 'rangers in retrograde' is a fine example, it's a retelling of Operation overdrive that can only be done because it can ignore things like budget, or actor availability or even sentai footage.

Anyway I'm done here for now, if I think of anything I might post a part two but for now See ya.

Welcome

So I have decide to finally cement my status as a complete and utter nerd by starting a blog, albeit one no one will read. First I would like to talk about what this blog will be about. Well I have a lot on my mind a lot and sometimes I just need to get stuff off of my chest, and this is what this will be used for, whatever I'm feeling like.

Now onto about me, well I don't usually reveal stuff about me on the internet I figure as no one will read this it's fine to give away as much as I like. My name is Robert Hedley, though you can call me Random, and I'm a sarcastic, cynical, and insane Australian. I'm an incredibly lazy, so don't expect many updates, and list procrastination as one of my hobbies. I like a range of thing from Stargate to Harry Potter, from Doctor Who to Power Rangers, from Fanfiction to wrestling, from video games to Batman. While my posts won't just contain these thing there likely to be the most common subject choices. So, nobody, allow me to take you on a journey about how a nerd views tye world.
